My name is Lesley Golenor and I am a garden designer and garden coach providing homeowners in the DC metro area with inspired, holistic, and eco-friendly garden design and coaching. My approach emphasizes environmental stewardship combined with a personalized, clear design aesthetic tailored to your environment and needs.

I grew up in the area and have been gardening since 2012, so I understand the challenges and peculiarities of our mid-Atlantic climate and ecosystem. I received formal training from the world-class Chanticleer Garden in Pennsylvania and earned a Certificate in Horticulture from Montgomery College in 2024.

I am also a practicing commercial Architect, which gives me a keen eye toward establishing spatial relationships, form, balance, proportion, and materiality in the garden. Putting the right plant in the right place is important, but how it contributes to a cohesive whole is just as vital to achieving fulfillment with your space.
